Het langspeeldebuut van Fiamma heet ‘Contatto’. Een plaat met zorgvuldig gekoesterde en gekoppelde tegenstellingen: akoestische klanken en computergestuurde versieringen, digitaal en toch intiem, zachtmoedig en toch strak als de beste techno. Misschien is Fiamma zelf wel zo’n vat vol tegenstellingen. Ze is in ieder geval vrouw en bezitter van een warmbloedige stem die al deze contrasten heel knap samenbindt.

Fiamma’s debut album is called ‘Contatto’. It’s a record full of carefully cherished and combined opposites: acoustic sounds with computer-made ornamentations, digital yet intimate, gentle yet robotic as the best techno. Fiamma might well be a bundle of contradictions herself. For one, she’s a woman (there you go…) and she’s the owner of a warm-blooded voice that unites all these contrasts into a breathtaking whole.
