Hera moest een hele omweg maken eer het succes in haar vaderland IJsland haar toelachte. Ze emigreerde als kind naar Nieuw-Zeeland, waar ze voor het eerst aan de slag ging met haar muzikale talenten, hetgeen al snel resulteerde in een titelloos en mooi sober debuut. Maar Hera zou geen Hjartadottir zijn als ze het ook niet in haar vaderland wou gaan maken en dat lijkt nu te gebeuren. En EuroSonic is haar poort naar de rest van Europa.

Iceland/New Zealand Folk Pop
Hera had to travel a long way before becoming successful in her native Iceland. As a child she immigrated to New Zealand, where she first started exploring her musical talent. She put out a beautiful unadorned debut album. But Hera would not be a Hjartadottir if she would not want to make it in her fatherland – which is about to happen right now.
