Aardbevingbestendige Rock
De Whyte Seeds heten Olle, Hank, Axl, Björn en Nico. Dat zijn voornamen die tot de verbeelding spreken voor wie de popgeschiedenis een beetje kent – al hebben we voor organist Olle zo snel geen associatie paraat. Niet dat Hank Williams, Guns ’n Roses, Abba en Velvet Underground nou zo hard doorklinken in het geluid van deze geharde Gothenburger groep, maar Sam Cooke, Motörhead, Buzzcocks en The Faces noemen ze zelf dan weer wel als inspiratiebron. Daar smeden ze een bijzonder stevige rockvariant van, die al menig Scandinavisch hart sneller deed kloppen. Hun optredens benaderen menige aardbeving op de schaal van Richter en hun instrumenten zijn na afloop steevast stukgeslagen.

Earthquake-Proof Rock
The Whyte Seeds are Olle, Hank, Axl, Björn and Nico. Names that ring a bell with those who know a bit of pop history - although organist Olle does not immediately call up associations. But never mind - Hank Williams, Guns ’n Roses, Abba and Velvet Underground have not left a lot of traces in the sound of this Gothenburg band anyway. Sam Cooke, Motörhead, Buzzcocks and The Faces have all the more, resulting in a heavy type of rock, which has conquered many a Scandinavian heart. Their live shows have a stronger impact than an earthquake on the Richter scale, and their instruments never survive the end of the show.
