Ieder jaar stijgt de spanning weer ten top. De grote zaal van De Oosterpoort is nooit zo vol als op dat bijna heilige tijdstip, tegen elven ’s avonds op de grote Noorderslagdag. Wie krijgt nu weer de Popprijs? De groep of artiest die het afgelopen jaar het meest heeft bijgedragen aan de Nederlandse popmuziek natuurlijk! Gelukkig is de jury prettig onvoorspelbaar in zijn keuze, dus het kan nog alle kanten op. Wedden maar!

Every year, almost eleven o’clock, the tension becomes almost unbearable when the moment the winner of the Popprijs is announced nears. Who’ll get it? Well, the band or artist that made the biggest contribution to Dutch music in the past year of course! Fortunately the jury is nicely unpredictable in its choice, so anything’s possible.
