Al tien jaar kan Winschoten trots zijn op Benjamin B. Al is er in
die tien jaar veel gebeurd: finale Grote Prijs, winnaar Pop = Prima
Prijs, platen op Excelsior, muziek voor een Grolsch-reclame, bezettingswisselingen,
voorprogramma’s voor Bush en Soulwax, nevenprojecten. Maar
nadat de bandleden zich uitleefden in het Groningstalige Stad en
jazzstonesamplerock-combo The Polar Club hergroepeerden ze zich weer
en sloegen ze met Tired Of The Moon keihard terug. Niet langer bij
het roemruchte Excelsior, evenwel. Tired Of The Moon is gewoon een
fraai stuk huisvlijt geworden, vol eigenzinnige popliedjes.

Originally from Winschoten, Groningen, Benjamin B have been around
for ten years now. And ten moving years it has been: they made the final
of the Grote Prijs, won the local Pop = Prima Prijs, put out a couple
of albums with the renowned Dutch label Excelsior, provided a song for
a Grolsch commercial, there were changes in line-up, support slots with
Bush and Soulwax, side projects. But after escapades in the Groningen-language
Stad and jazz stone sample rock combo The Polar Club they regrouped
and came up with the fine pop album Tired Of The Moon.
