Op de dag dat de Concorde voor het eerst vloog werd Daan geboren.
De rol van dat supersonische vliegtuig is inmiddels uitgespeeld,
maar van Daan zijn we nog lang niet af. Hij kwam voor het eerst bovendrijven
in Dead ManRay, een van de vele bands uit de artistieke omgeving
van het dEUS-kamp. Solo kan Daan het net zo goed af, of beter zelfs,
nu hij al drie platen onder zijn eigen voornaam aan de mensheid heeft
voorgesteld. Van stuiterende electro tot intieme akoestische observaties:
Daan kan het allemaal aan. Tussen de bedrijven door maakt hij ook
nog muziek voor films, theatervoorstellingen en commercials. Zijn
naam is klein….

Daan was born on the day the Concorde made its maiden flight. We’ve
seen the last of this supersonic airplane by now. Daan on the other
hand, will probably around for a while longer. His first steps in music
were in Dead Man Ray, one of the numerous bands from the artistic scene
around dEUS. But he’s just as good solo, or even better, judging
from the three albums he made so far. Skippy electronica or intimate
acoustic observations, Daan can do it all. In the mean time, he makes
music for film, theatre and commercials. His name may be small ….
