Funk
Ook in Duitsland kent het principe van de Funk zijn discipelen. In
de gestalte van Grand Slam bijvoorbeeld, een band die de funk zo
goed beheerst dat je alle clichés over Duitsers en marsmuziek
subiet vergeten bent. Funkhelden als Menace, Gary ‘Mudbone’ Cooper
en Bootsy Collins zelf voelen zich niet te min om met Grand Slam
op het podium te staan.

In Germany too there is a substantial funk following. Among them
are Grand Slam, a band so funky that all clichés about Germans
and their marching music are swept away. Funk heroes like Menace, Gary ‘Mudbone’ Cooper
and the great Bootsy Collins have all been on stage with Grand Slam.
