Aan hoofdletters doen ze niet, tenminste niet in de bandnaam: liricas
analas. In hun muziek hoor je de hoofdletters echter luid en duidelijk,
want ’t zijn hiphoppers en niet te weinig ook. Twee DJ’s
en vijf MC’s komen eraan te pas om hun woordenstromen erin
te rammen. Waarbij en passant en impliciet de boodschap verkondigd
wordt dat hiphop vandaag de dag werkelijk overal vandaan kan komen,
zelfs uit het fraaie, saaie Zwitserland. Wie dus na de set van liricas
analas nog niet overtuigd is van de wereldomspannende levensvatbaarheid
van de hiphop, en van de kwaliteiten van deze Zwitserlevers, moet
kaas in de oren hebben.

liricas analas do not need the emphasis of capitals in their bandname
and let their music speak for itself. These guys are hip hop to the bone
and have no less than two DJ’s and five MC’s to get their verbal
firepower across. One of their – implicit – messages is that
hip hop can come from any country these days, even from beautiful dull
Switzerland. If the show of liricas analas will not convince you of the
global force of hip hop, you must have cheese in your ears.
