Met de Europese achtergrond van Andres Andrekson zit het wel goed. Hij werd geboren in Tallin, hoofdstad van Estland, en verhuisde op zijn dertiende naar een dorpje in het Franstalige deel van Zwitserland. Vandaar dus dat Stress, zijn artiestennaam, in het Frans rapt. Dat doet hij al jaren in de groep Double Pact, die hij stevig verrijkt met zijn excentrieke rapkunsten. Met zijn eerste solo-album Billy Bear (nog zo’n typisch hiphop-peudoniem van Andrekson) vestigt hij zijn naam al helemaal. Mocht het onwaarschijnlijk klinken, Franstalige Zwitserrap van een Est, dan helpt Billy Bear je uit de droom. Het kan, en hoe.

Andres Andrekson was born in Tallinn, the capitol of Estonia, and moved to a small village in the French speaking part of Switzerland at the age of thirteen. This explains why Stress raps in French. He has been doing his eccentric raps for years in the group Double Pact. With his first solo album Billy Bear (another typical hip hop alias of Andrekson’s) he has really established his reputation. French-language Swiss rap by an Estonian, unexpected and incredibly good.
