Hoezo 11-11? Wel, de mannen van Voicst werkten van elf uur ’s ochtends tot elf uur ’s avonds aan hun debuutalbum met die titel, en dat gebeurde ook nog in een studio aan 11th Avenue. In New York, jazeker, en dat is niet niks voor een stel Amsterdammertjes. Alle Dagen Hartstikke Druk, zoals ze de beroemde afkorting ADHD op zichzelf toepassen. De omschrijving ADHD-rock dook al vaker op voor de nerveuze en toch melodieuze herriepop van dit trio, dat tenslotte al een keer of wat op Noorderslag speelde. Maar nu ze zo’n mooie en goed ontvangen plaat hebben gemaakt, konden we echt niet om ze heen. En u ook niet!

Whaddoyamean 11-11? Well, it means Voicst worked from 11 a.m. till 11 p.m. at their debut album of that very title. The location was a studio on 11th Avenue, New York, which is quite something for a bunch of guys from Amsterdam. Their music has been described as ADHD rock, referring to the nervous yet melodic type of noisy pop this trio play. They have performed on Noorderslag a couple of times already, but now that they have made such a successful album, we could not ignore them. And neither can you!
