PROGRAM EUROSONIC & NOORDERSLAG NEARLY COMPLETED !

During the thirteenth edition of Noorderslag, the pop, rock and dance festival that gives an annual overview of Dutch Pop Music, 35 of the most promising Dutch artists, bands and DJ's will perform on 7 stages under one roof. The program of the fifth edition of EuroSonic (previous Euroslag) consists of almost 40 new European rock, pop and dance acts, which will be presented on more then 10 stages to press, professionals and audience. With active involvement of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), this edition of EuroSonic will go on the air on a European-wide scale, with many stations even broadcasting the performances live.

Times and prices:
EuroSonic starts at 08:00 PM, Noorderslag at 08:30 PM.
A ticket for EuroSonic costs fl. 15,-, for Noorderslag fl. 37,50. The price of a combination card for both festivals is fl. 42,50. All prices are excluding service costs.

Box office:
Tickets for EuroSonic and Noorderslag a.o. can be bought at the 150 bigger Dutch Post Offices and GWK's, the ticketline (www.theater.nl) and the common Dutch presale adresses.

Pop Prize:
During Noorderslag the Dutch Pop Prize is handed out for the most valuable contribution to Dutch rock and pop in the previous year. The Pop Prize is an initiative of BV Pop and is handed out by the Conamus Foundation with support of Buma.

Nieuw Nederlands Peil:
Early December, Nieuw Nederlands Peil, the Noorderslag CD is presented. Nieuw Nederlands Peil includes songs and tracks of the bands and artists of Noorderslag 1999. For the absolutely bargain price of Dfl 9,95 the CD can be bought at the record stores in The Netherlands.

Noorderslag Seminar - January 8 and 9, 1999 - De Oosterpoort, Groningen:
The third event during the Noorderslag weekend is the annual bi-daily Noorderslag Seminar: a unique place to meet the 700 members of the Dutch and European music industry. The program is filled with panel discussions, lectures and workshops. To register for the Noorderslag Seminar please contact the Conamus Foundation (phone +31 (0)35 - 6218 748).

Information:
The complete program of Noorderslag and EuroSonic is published with the Christmas issue of the main Dutch rock, pop and dance magazine Oor. From early december onwards, the festival magazine is also available at Dutch record stores and all over the north of The Netherlands.
Furthermore Music & Media will publish a EuroSonic-special in the 19 December-issue. This special will include a EuroSonic CD, with tracks of bands, acts and DJ's that will make their appearance at the Eurosonic 1999 edition.
